watching this literally ONE HOUR before my exam 😭
“The heroes”. Pathetic.
If I focused on empowering popular sovereignty and linking that to why it's important to keep natural rights for FRQ 3 Part C, would that be fine?
watching this w thirty minutes til my exam pray for me
TEST IN HALF AN HOUR IMA PASS
I think I got half of each individual FRQ right (chat… am I cooked?)
1 hour. im cooked
OUR INDEPENDENT VOTES DONT COUNT, WE ARE VOTING FOR ELECTORS NOT PRESIDENT, ELECTORS CAN VOTE HOW THRY PLEASE, ITS PROVEN!!! all 50 states need to be counted n verified before declaring a winner, stop this election night crap we want all individual votes to be verified, it's not about who won this stare or that state, all votes need to matter
youtube.com/@declarationofindependencef438?si=S2by7MRd4Z0WGQTt
Do you think for the Mandatory vs Discretionary spending thing we had to explain examples of what Mandatory and Discretionary spending are? Also for the EPA rule making authority if we said the whole “interpret laws” thing and explained it but didn’t actually say rule-making authority could we still get the points?
you saved me for my test🙏
i can’t see the answers for the practice question at the end:(
So I said for frq cohen vs shenck liberty of the right to the 1st amendment of freedom of speech, press, religion, assembly, and petition. Is that too broad? Did it have to be just speech?
Can I get the point if I said the executive order can be used to rule an act of EPA unconstitutional? I closed that with the loop but explained how the president can issue Stricter guidelines on a certain law the EPA made but closed the loop with “this is how the president can issue an executive order to rule acts of the EPA unconstitutional idk if I can get the point
For 2D, I said that interest groups can use this info to go to the court and use this as a reason to rule a certain way. This is because maybe they want a certain policy to be struck down or ruled unconstitutional. Can this get the point?
so chat i’m watching this a hour before me exam.
So im cooked
Bro successfully taught me an entire AP class in 3 days of spam watching vid. However I think I'm going to get a 60-75% on the Frq. I think I'll get a 3 or 4. Study guide helped so much too for only like $20😭🙏
I said US v Lopez allowed for states to have more power by allowing them to regulate guns and schools after stating the correct facts/holding as an extra sentence. Would this be extra and disregarded and I can still get the points? And is it fine if I said for SCOTUS part C that the court basically ruled the acts of McClung family unconstitutional and they protected the natural rights of African Americans by ruling McClungs acts of not seating them wrong and how the civil rights act was constitutional and congress being involved allowed them to be protected. It shows how they wanted how they protected the African Americans to be treated fairly and equal.
The extra part in Lopez doesn't matter, you'll get the point as long as you gave the facts. For the part C one, quite possibly. It'll depend how specific an answer they're looking for on that one
for 1b on the epa question i said that the president could appoint the head of the department (our teacher told us the president CANT appoint heads of independent agencies) and the head of the department the president nominates can enact the presidents ideology and put pressure on the EPA to do what the president wants. Am I getting the point or am I cooked?
I think it's 50/50. Depends exactly what you said, but I think there's a good chance they don't view that mistake as a dealbreaker for the point
@@CareyLaManna THANK YOU SO MUCH. also for 1a is bureaucratic discretion the same discretionary authority?
I DIDNT PUT CONGRESSIONAL OVERSIGHT, I ONLY PUT OVERSIGHT. AM I COOKED
You should be ok
For the epa frq it says "describe" so if we did not get the exact term but described fairly well, could we get the point?
yup
@@CareyLaManna thank so much! Also, for the mandatory and descriontsry spending frq I said “certain aspects of military spending” were mandatory which is techincally true (it’s like one percent and has to do with salaries and stuff I think) could I still get that point?
For the argumentative, I argued that neither the executive branch nor the congress should have more power because of federalist 51 check and balances? Is that a bad argument? Do you have to pick a side?
Yes pick a side
Unfortunately, you have to pick a side. You can still get a couple evidence points, though.
@@CareyLaManna if I didn’t pick a side will I completely not get any points because I didn’t answer the question?
IM SO GLAD I TALKED ABOUT OLD PEOPLE!!!! AMEN FRQ 2!!!
Will they take a signing statement providing certain ways the law should be carried out as a way a President can impact the EPA?
Maybe. I feel like it'd be less about the signing statement and more about the rest of your explanation
Whoa Mr. Lamanna is fit. Or should I call you Mr. Constitution?
dude i was so cooked i started talking about trust issues
hahaha hey who knows what might work
is delegated discretionary authority and discretionary authority the same thing for the first FRQ? would I still get points if I wrote delegated discretionary authority rather than just discretionary authority? please lmk
I did that too but I think it’s good
Yeah that should be fine as long as you described
For the second set and for FRQ 3 for the last one Part D I said how mcclung basically went against the idea of natural rights but I didn't mention how the decision relates to natural rights but rather the scenario would I still get the point?
Ummm probably not, sorry
@@CareyLaManna Also for the second set for the data one I didn't provide any examples for part c for the mandatory and discretionary spending one would I be fine/
Thank you so much! I got everything right on the FRQs!!! Also, awesome shirt by the way
Awesome! And thank you!
for the first frq on form o i wrote "congress has the power to increase or decrease the funding of the bureaucracy in their annual budget" instead of writing the power of the purse, do you think ill still get credit
i feel like most of the time i’ve gotten something right it’s not because i named the term but because i accurately said something they could do and answered the question. so probably
Yeah it's not the term that's important, it's the description/explanation, as long as that's on point you're good
i feel like i knew the powers of the government well, but i didn’t know the words for it. like i didnt know what discretionary authority was, but i knew that the bureaucracy could selectively enforce their laws
You should be okay, descriptions are way more important than specific vocab!
It’s over!
i dont know if im cooked or not
probably a good sign!
For 1b, i used the bully pulpit is that fine?
Probably depends how much you emphasized the role of the media
College board released 2 frq sets and I got the set they didn’t release🗿
I wrote rule make discretionary authority but then I correctly explained the process the epa used. Will i get the point or will i lose it cause i messed up the naming at the beginning?
Honestly, can't say until we get trained on scoring. I hope that works for you and I'm inclined to say yes, but can't know for sure yet.
Didn’t remember discretionary authority at all. Instead said the EPA has the power to enforce and interpret regulations and I definitely didn’t give specific reasoning as to why Mandatory spending had increased like Medicare and all that. But I think if I remember correctly the rest was pretty similar to what I put
Thank you so much for this! But for 1A I said Bureaucratic Discretion and I described it in the context of the scenario, do you think I should get the point or not? Additionally for 1B I said the president could fire the top member of the EPA if the job he/she was doing wasn't pleasing to the president. I am also not sure whether I will get the point for this question.
Those both sound good to me
it seems that everyone did really well, does not that the curve will negatively effect our score?
It's a bit complicated but AP Exams aren't curved like that. If it is indeed easier than past years (not guaranteed by any means--everybody said last year was easy, too) then it might be slightly higher scores necessary to get a 3, 4, or 5 but I wouldn't stress about that.
For FRQ 1 part B (the one in the second half of the video) can I talk about how the president can use signing statements?
And for the FRQ 4 near the end of the vid I also brought up how the president has more name recognition among people and can use the bully pulpit to his advantage
As long as you used that to answer the prompt of how he *should* have more power sounds good
Nahh lamanna is actually buffed. Now I am actually scared of LAMANNA PRODUCTIONS 💀
I think I'm cooked
Why
@@IE992 my answers weren't correct
I said Congress was making people testify, am i cooked Lamoney? i got part b correct though, so would i even get the points?🙂↕️
Nah you good
If i used the articles of confederations failure as a a reason to justify the need for stronger Executive in FRQ 4, would that be right?
Yeah
Yeah that works
Is the make up test different then the regular tests?
Yea
@@IE992 so the frqs are diffrent too?
Yes
I only got 1 point for the 1st frq and i may have got 2 or 3 on the 2nd frq. I feel confident i got full points on the other frqs but now im worried i may have not improved from my mock exam score
You got this!
For the second set of FRQ's, would signing statements be an appropriate answer for 1b? (the frq that talks about how the power in Part A could be affected by the president)
Idk, Congress isn't really making legislation in the scenario which is when a signing statement would be relevant
